Maintain a Clean Bathroom with Everyday Disinfecting
Bathrooms are high traffic areas shared by family and guests. They’re also home to bacteria and viruses, which can thrive in the warm, moist environment. With the residue that soaps and sprays leave behind, you can see how the bathroom can be one of the dirtiest and germiest places in your home.
You don’t have to give your bathroom a full cleaning every day. Instead, focus on a few key areas that can harbor germs and grime. Disinfect these specific areas with a multipurpose cleaner to help keep your bathroom clean. It’s quick and easy.

Toilet can accumulate fecal bacteria and other dirt and germs with everyday use. Dirt and germs in the toilet bowl can also get dispersed into the bathroom after flushing.

Wash Shower Doors & Handles
Glass shower or tub doors and handles can also collect bacteria and viruses. Fortunately, OxiClean™ bathroom cleaners can help to clean these tricky areas. Deep Clean Your Bathtub, Toilet & Floor At Least Monthly
Daily wipe downs are great for preventative maintenance and keeping your bathroom clean – especially if someone in the family is sick. Here’s a list of a few places in your bathroom that could use monthly deep cleaning and disinfection.
Scrub the Toilet Bowl & Base
In addition to scrubbing the toilet bowl with a brush, be sure to clean the toilet base. Spray from flushing can carry germs and dirt, which settle on the base and floor surrounding the toilet. This area also gets dirty from regular toilet use. OxiClean™ Bathroom Cleaner can help you thoroughly clean both the toilet bowl and around the base in an effort to keep scum buildup at bay.
After cleaning, follow the instructions on the OxiClean™ Deep Clean Multi-Purpose Disinfectant bottle to kill 99.9% of bacteria* and the virus that causes COVID-19**.
Scrub the Bathtub & Shower Top to Bottom
Your bathtub or shower get dirty while you get clean. Shampoo, body wash, soap, shaving cream, lotions and bath salts all leave a residue.
Thoroughly clean your bathtub or shower using a scrub brush and a cleanser designed to get rid of greasy stains and soap scum, such as OxiClean™ Foamtastic Fresh Scent or OxiClean™ Foamtastic Lemon Citrus Scent . Be sure to clean the shower floor, tub sides, and around the drain. Use your handheld shower (if you have one) to help you rinse and reach the corners and walls.
To disinfect without abrasives or bleach, use OxiClean™ Deep Clean Multi-Purpose Disinfectant on the tub and shower surfaces as directed.*
Wash Shower Curtains
Mold and mildew stains can also pose a problem for shower curtains with soap scum buildup over time. OxiClean™ Mold and Mildew Stain Remover is a bleach foam that sticks to various surfaces for a deep clean and sparkling shine. Follow the same steps on the label. Then, wipe away the lingering foam to clean shower curtains before throwing them in the wash.
When you’re giving your bathroom its semi-monthly or monthly scrubdown, be sure to wash your shower curtains as well as mats, rugs and other items. For more information on cleaning, deodorizing and disinfecting soft surfaces, follow the instructions for How to Sanitize Laundry.
